Callaway's Muscle Back irons represent the commitment of Tour pros. The APEX MB irons finally make their debut on Tour after about three years of prototype testing.

Head made of soft iron (S25C):

• Very sharp and compact design that offers the very soft feel and excellent handling that professionals and advanced players want.

New sole:

• With sharp corners that cut through the grass so the face doesn't suddenly come back or get lost, even in the rough.

Tungsten plate on the lower back :

• Replaces the screw weight on the previous model. This plate provides easier ball lift and more forgiveness on long irons and optimal spin on short irons.

Compact Muscle Back Irons with low clubface :

• Lower face height, less offset, shorter blade and very thin top blade. A very agile model that responds sharply to the player's intentions.

A piece forged from soft iron (S25C): 

• Indescribable feeling, the ball stays on the clubface for a long time and offers the player more control.

New head design:

• The back of the head has been changed. The transition between the thicker part of the face and the thinner part at the top has been adjusted to move the center of gravity closer to the center of the toe and heel.

New tungsten plate on the lower back:

• Provides appropriate trajectory height and amount of spin for each iron, expanding the sweet spot to the level desired by tour players.

New sole design :

• Smaller head size and square connection between shaft and sole. This design has been particularly tested on the tour and allows the ball to cut through the grass even in deep rough to ensure stable ball guidance in the intended direction
